Liquidators' Wagon (Ukraine). One of the wagons used to transport the liquidators who responded to the aftermath of the reactor explosion at the nuclear power plant in 1986. These people had to work in extremely harsh radiation conditions, and most of them could not fully comprehend the risks they were taking, as radiation levels were not disclosed. According to some estimates, 25,000 of them lost their lives, and 70,000 became disabled.
